The name Vetiver is derived from Tamil வெட்டிவேர்.  The plant is popular all over the Indian Subcontinent. It is used in agriculture, food, medicine, and perfumery. It is also known as Khus. The botanical name of Vetiver is Vetiveria Zizanoides or Andropogon Muricatus. This tropical grass has a very pleasant, mild, earthy, and musky smell which has a cooling effect on the body and the mind.
